Hola!
My name is Virginia Reina. I’m a standby art director experienced in period and contemporary drama. Recent work includes Harris Dickinson’s debut directorial feature Urchin, which has made the Cannes 2025 Official Selection.
Notable works include BAFTA-nominated Slow Horses series 3 & 4 for Apple TV, Empire of Light (Sam Mendes) for which the art department was awarded Best Production Design by the British Film Designer’s Guild, and The Banshees of Inisherin (Martin McDonagh) which received various BAFTAs and Golden Globe awards as well as an Oscar nomination.
In 2013 I graduated with a First Class Degree in BA (Hons) Film Production at the Arts University Bournemouth, specialising in production design. I began my career as a runner for Ridley Scott Associates in Soho and was later accepted onto the BBC’s Art Director Traineeship in Elstree. Since 2017 I have focused on standby art directing.
I live in London but love when my work takes me to new places. Outside of work I enjoy writing, studying philosophy and hanging out with my cats.
Crewing up? I’m available from July 2025
